Romarsi’s pesto is a family recipe that dates back generations to the village of Benevento, Italy. Mary's father planted the basil and mother Ernestine made the pesto. The same recipe that Mary uses
Ingredients include fresh basil from local farmers, the finest pure olive oil, garlic, sea salt and classic parmesan cheese. It is made without preservatives. We support our local farmers, who supply our basil, when in season. In fact, Romarsi has entered into a partnership with St. Benedict's School in Newark, New Jersey, to supply us with basil during the year. The students grow basil on site and are excited to be part of our pesto family. Non-seasonal basil is supplied by the freshest sources available at the time.
